When it comes to making and keeping business contacts, there are certain pieces of information that you should be looking for, and that other people will want to seek from you. For this reason, it is important that you ask questions when you receive a business card, and that you ensure that your own digital business cards is complete so that there isn’t anything missing when you give your information to your new contact.
When your new contact hands you a business card, don’t just shove it in your pocket. Have a look at it, and make sure that the information is complete. If it isn’t, ask. After you leave the contact, make sure to note additional important information about that person so that you’ll be able to remember him or her later on, after some time has passed and your memory isn’t as fresh.
The information that you should make sure that you have for every contact is as follows:
- Name of the contact,
- Address,
- Telephone number,
- Fax,
- E-mail/website,
- Their company name and job title
- The source of the original meeting, venue or person
- Who introduced you
- A note of what transpired at the first meeting
- The arrangement for follow-up - timing/method
- Any personal details - birthday/family/hobbies and interests
- Geographical details - the area of country if you are visiting them
- Background - them/their company/previous positions held
- Their and your aims and objectives, links and mutual acquaintances.
Of course, though this may be hard to fit all on one business card, you don’t need to worry about your new contact having the same problem, as you can include all of the relevant information they could ever need within a profile in your Digital Business Card.

It’s obvious that business cards are extremely popular in the business world. It feels as though everybody in the world has one. That being said, it’s not necessarily easy to have your business card stand out among the dozens, if not hundreds of other cards any of your recipients will already have received.
True, traditional business cards have become quite fancy, including glossy ones, funny-shaped ones, double sided ones, and even folded ones that double the surface area, but essentially, they’re all the same. They provide limited contact information, and that’s it.
CD business cards, on the other hand, are the innovation that people who are serious about their business and personal success have come to rely upon.
This is because it’s not just the standard small piece of cardstock. Indeed, it is the same size and relative shape as a traditional business card, but the difference is that it will play in a CD-ROM drive and share your entire message – not just your contact information.
This is a big difference for your marketing strategy. After all, just because somebody has your contact information, it doesn’t mean that that person will remember you, or make the effort if they do. You have to answer their question “what’s in it for me?”
The cd business cards allows you the space and technology to answer that question. You can take the time that you need to get your message across in the most efficient and effective way possible. It’s like having a virtual sales person working on your side whenever your recipient is most responsive to receiving your message – because that is when your recipient will place the digital business card into his or her CD-ROM drive to have a look.
Furthermore, your DigiCard, being different and impressive, will encourage your recipient to take the time to investigate what it’s all about. It’s not just the standard piece of cardstock. It is like a treasure chest with something special inside, and your recipient will want to find out exactly what that is.
What is it? Your message, by way of documents, catalogs, video tours, PowerPoint presentations, or even an audio message. It’s your choice: you have ample flexibility to find the best way for your business to share its message and encourage recipients to take action.

It should come as no surprise to you to hear that blogging has quickly become one of the most effective marketing techniques online. There are currently over 14 million blogs online and another 80,000 more blogs are added every day. Of the 50 million current internet users, a full 30 percent of them are blog readers. Many people are reading and writing blogs, and companies have to learn to take advantage of that fact to get the most out of their marketing strategies.Furthermore, when you do have a blog, you need to spread the word and remind people to visit often. Little is more effective for doing just that than a DigiCard CD business card with a link to your online blog. It will introduce your blog to every recipient of your business card, and will provide with them with the occasional reminder they might need to visit the site once more and check up on the latest changes.
Think of your blog not only as a fun and interesting way to share your news and updates, but also a powerful tool that allows for communication between you and your clients, suppliers, and other businesspeople who are important to your company. The blog, especially when it is connected to your digital CD business card, where it can reinforce the message already presented on the card.
This offers results in an extremely cost-effective way.
Further advantages of a blog shared by way of your DigiCard CD business card include:
- Awareness and brand loyalty
- Effective feedback for continuous improvement
- Word-of-mouth/mouse – as the business card is shared, so is the blog
- Speed of communication
Best of all, blogging is not difficult to start. It is a good idea plan the blog first, instead of jumping right in, to ensure that the blog has substance and direction. It is wise to begin with 20 posts before marketing the blog on your DigiCard. Once you do have the 20 posts, you can add them to the digital business card so that they can be read on- or offline and then provide the link so that updates can be accessed on the internet.
This makes your blogs – and your message – easier to read, access, and share. An incredibly powerful marketing .

When you’re doing business, it is extremely important that you stick to the right etiquette to make sure that you are coming across as professional as opposed to offensive, sloppy, or rude. By understanding business etiquette, you will feel the most comfortable and make the best impression along with your digital business card. Your cd business card is only as good as your first impression when you hand it over to someone. It should be used to compliment your professional manner and impressive business sense. This way, when your prospective customer, or your client pops the DigiCard into his or her CD-ROM drive, it will reinforce the positive first impression you’ve made.
The following are some great ways to get the most out of the first impression you make with your DigiCard:
- Digital business cards are a vital and universal means of presenting contact details in the business world. Therefore, you are expected to have a good supply of them on hand at any given time, so that you never run short.
- Present yourself as best you can as you hand out your cd business card. Make sure that you’re well dressed, well groomed, and have clean nails. Remember that people will focus on your hand when you’re handing them your DigiCard, so you’ll want to have clean, well maintained hands.
- If you are traveling abroad for business, consider having your digital business cards translated into the appropriate languages.
- Keep in mind that the right time to exchange business cards or DigiCards is at the beginning or end of your first meeting with someone.
- Good etiquette says that you should present your cd business card with the printed information side up.
- When you receive somebody else’s business card or DigiCard, make a point of looking at it, and then, if possible, comment or request for clarifying information before you put it away.
